Baby Development Guide for Baby’s Eleventh Month (weeks 44-47)
Month eleven has come around and can you believe that your baby is almost one year old! You might want to start thinking now what you want to do on his first birthday. Be sure to have a plan for taking tons of photos and video to capture the memories.
This might be the age at which your child starts to love water. Always practice safe water habits and never leave his side. If you have a pool or hot tub, make 100% sure it is baby proof so your little one does not accidentally fall in.
Your son or daughter will also love to stand and might be very preoccupied with it. Again, make sure your house is 100% child proof. Guard stair cases with gates because he will probably love to explore the steps. A standard walking age is anywhere from nine to eighteen months.
She might take interest in clothing (and unclothing!) herself. To prevent this, try putting her clothes on inside out or backwards so the zipper or buttons are on the back and out of reach for her.
Socially, he will gain interest in pets at this age. He will think pets are toys, so use common sense to keep him safe and do not let pets sleep with him.
Your child might seem to be “testy” as he tries to coax you into saying “no.” He isn’t necessarily doing it to test you…he probably does it simply to get your attention.
If you haven’t already considered using a caretaker, you might be thinking about it now. A caretaker is okay (as long as they pass your criterion!) and will even help your baby learn. Although baby might not perform tasks on demand for others, a caretaker will probably become a special friend to your baby.
A big step has happened intellectually this month- he has learned about object permanence. In other words, he knows that a toy he left nearby will still be there when he turns around to find it again.
She understands more and more every day and will respond non-verbally. For example, if she is thirsty and you hold a sippy cup in front of her, she will reach out to grab it. Or, when it is time to eat and he is sitting in his high chair, he might bounce up and down repeatedly in anticipation of the food.
To help your baby develop during this time, try playing hide and seek with objects. (This will help sharpen his understanding of object permanence.) Keep offering her a running narrative of your day so that she can hear you speak and use new words.
Another great way to promote bonding between you and your little one is to spend unhurried time with her. A creative way to do that would be to play instruments with safe kitchen items. Gather pots, pans and wooden spoons together on the floor and enjoy banging them together with your son or daughter. You will both treasure the bonding and it will be a learning experience at the same time.

Baby Development Guide: Week 44 by Birth Announcements 4 Baby
November 16th, 2010Credit Card Mistakes
August 14th, 2010
Are you among the many people who have made a mistake with a credit card or mismanaged it? You are not alone. In fact, credit cards are now such common things in wallets and purses that it seems more and more of us are having a hard time paying off the balances. Is this because you lost your job, or is it simply the result of bad decisions regarding the things for which you used your credit card?
Not only can you buy tobacco once you turn 18, but you can also start accumulating debt – maybe even buy that tobacco with a credit card! Schools typically make little effort to educate students about the importance of credit and how to mange money. Yet the day we are old enough and graduate, the banks start sucking us in. No credit, bad credit: no matter what, they are ready to lend young people money with high a very high interest rate. What teenager wouldn’t want a thousand dollars at her disposal? However, within months (if not weeks) the card is maxed and she has a monthly payment over $100 she cannot make. So what does she do? Get another card and continue the cycle, and by the time she’s 19 a girl can be in debt and already getting calls from collectors. And it’s not just teenagers who find themselves in this situation; adults of all ages misuse charge cards.
People have started living off of the charge cards, and what started as one card for emergencies are now 15 with a combined debt of over $60,000 – a balance that will likely never be paid off. How does this happen? you may ask. Is it a mistake? Yes, kind of. Yet the bigger problem is that people do not pay attention to or think about the future. Most can’t even tell you the interest rate they pay on their credit cards. Also, individuals tend to want things now and have maxed out their cards for all the wrong purposes, like buying electronics, clothes, gas and even cars. Some even pay their other household bills with credit cards, and eventually even the water bill is earning interest.
People use credit cards for everything imaginable. If something can be paid for with cards, then they do it. Credit limits are exceeded everyday because the holder does not pay attention to his balance and mistakenly thinks the money will never run out. Some banks even raise credit limits as balances grow higher so customers will spend more.
There are a number of mistakes people can make when owning and using a credit card finder. The most important thing to do is realize that it is not a source of endless money and that you do have to pay it back. If not, the debt can follow you for decades, and something that ran a few hundred dollars will end up costing you thousands.

The Poor People in USA
May 5th, 2010
According to the report from United States Census Bureau, 4.360,000 poor people in USA in 2009. It means 1/7 people in USA is poor. The number breaks the record in the history in USA. And the situation will be worse next year and some people predict the number of poor people will be increased to as high as 1/5 among the whole population. Do you know what the problems result in this phenomenon?
1. The poverty line is higher than other countries
In 2009, the poverty line in USA is annual income with USD22,050 for a family with four members. If the annual income lower than USD22,050, the family will be considered to be poor people. But in fact, 46% of the poor people have private car and house and 30% own two cars. Obviously, the poverty line is much higher than other countries.
2. The effect of the economic crisis took place in 2008
The serious economic crisis took place in 2008 is another main reason to increase the number poor people. The president Obama also admit the economy in USA is still difficult. The jobless rate reaches the peak.
Do you know what the poor people’s life in USA look like? In fact, the welfare from government is too well-off to poor people.
1. Food. For the people with income lower than poverty line, they will be provided food stamp from government. It is a kind of card and government will deposit to it monthly. And people can use it to purchase bread, fruit, and meat and so on.
2. Accommodation. Government invest much money on providing low-rent housing to poor people. The cost is less than 30% of the poor families’ income. Then the people can use more than 70% of the income to purchase other daily necessities, like clothes, mobile…..
3. Donation from charity organizations. More and more rich people in USA are willing to donate their money to poor people. And it is very helpful to the poor.
Child Custody Visitation – Steps to Handle Problematic Exchanges
April 6th, 2010
For some people child visitation is a smooth, simple, and easy process. One parent stops by and picks up the child from the other parent and the matter is done. But what happens when parents have trouble being civil, harbor resentment, or even have a restraining order in place?
Visitation exchanges happen every time a child physically moves from one parent to another. This means that even though parents may not be involved in each other’s lives, they still must interact for the benefit of the children. In cases where both parents are able to set aside their personal differences for the sake of the child, there is usually no problem with the visitation exchange – one parent simply goes to the residence of the other to pick up the child. But what if there are problematic issues with exchanges?
If you have a problem with exchanges you are not alone. Custody cases often include an ongoing problem with exchange of the child. Some frequent issues are not dropping off a child, not picking up a child, not cooperating with the schedule, problems with a restraining order, demanding frequent changes to the schedule and others. If you cannot work out an agreement and your visitation is not working for you or your child it may be time to head back to court, but you need to be prepared.
This is an extremely difficult and frustrating issue but there are things you can do. What you “cannot” do is run back to the court and complain without doing your due diligence. You don’t want to take any minor issues before the court. Some of them you just have to suck up and take, like the other parent dropping the child off 5 minutes late, or not bringing back clothes, dirty laundry. These items are petty where the court is concerned. Issues like, child safety, safety of all parties, verbal and physical abuses are taken very seriously by the court.
Build your case step-by-step. Here are the steps you need to take to resolve the issue.
Take a trusted friend or family member with you to observe. Make sure they do not become part of the problem. Document the problem you are having with exchanges. By document I mean get a folder and always take it with you on exchanges. Document the date, time and what happened. If it is a serious issue, don’t be afraid to call the police and report it. Document the incident or report number, the Officers name and badge number and who witnessed the incident. After you feel that you can show a pattern of problems, file your motion to change visitation. Use the hard facts you have accumulated in your notebook as the basis of your motion. Present the hard facts like “10 times since January the other parent has not brought the child back”. Do not cloud the motion with feelings unless someone had reason to be scared or fearful. Judges do not like Jerry Springer in their courtroom. Know exactly how to resolve the problem and present your solution clearly “Make each party responsible for pick-up of the child for their scheduled visitation”.
When you get to court you can explain that since you filed the motion the issue has occurred 5 more times.
Remember, if you don’t like the way things are going, then go back to court, but be smart.
The Changes in Your Body at 24 Weeks Pregnant
February 12th, 2010
When you are 24 weeks pregnant, others will certainly notice your growing belly. Your regular clothes will no longer fit comfortably and you will have to start wearing looser clothing around your waistline. The baby is growing steadily, but it still has wrinkled skin because it needs to gain weight. The baby taste buds are starting to develop at this point and you may develop a craving for sweets because the baby realizes that it likes sweet treats. The main thing that you do have to realize at this stage is that the baby is developed enough that it would be able to survive if you did go into premature labour. However, it would have to stay in the hospital for some time.
As your belly starts to expand, you may notice that you are developing stretch marks in the form of red lines across your stomach. These are normal and may be quite itchy. You can alleviate this discomfort by using creams and lotions to make the skin of your stomach legs and buttocks softer so that it can expand easier. Although the creams and lotions will not erase the stretch marks, they will fade after the baby is born. You will notice that your skin is drier than normal and you need to use more cream on your hands and face than you usually do. Dry skin is a normal part of being pregnant as well.
Another normal symptom of pregnancy that you may start to experience in your 24th week is that your eyes become more sensitive to light. Artificial tears solutions will help to alleviate this discomfort so that your eyes are not stinging or watering a lot. Headaches, cramps and discomfort in your lower back is also quite common at this stage of your pregnancy. The swelling of your hands and your weight gain at this time could also cause a tingling or numb sensation in your fingers. This is because the extra weight can compress some of the nerves in your wrist. The experience is usually mild and will go away once the baby is born. To help ease the discomfort, you could place a bag of ice on your hands several times a day.
You will notice that your hair is growing faster than usual and while you may love the fact that your hair is better than ever before, you may not like the fact that there is hair growing on other parts of your body. This is due to the increase in hormone production in your body. It is safe to tweeze the hairs and to use waxing or electrolysis methods during pregnancy. It is not a permanent condition and your hair growth will return to normal after you give birth.
Because the baby is now bigger, weighing a little over a pound and measuring about a foot in length, the space inside the uterus is getting smaller. You may feel as if there is something digging into your ribs and you may find it harder to get a deep breath. Since the baby ears and hearing is now developed, loud noises may cause the baby to move around or kick. At the same time, the baby is getting used to the sound of your voice and the beating of your heart
